What We Do

The Initiative provides training and equipment to military and civilian level I and II trauma centers across the United States for the treatment of severe traumatic brain injuries.

To increase the quality outcomes of your traumatic brain injury patients, contact us today. Upon approval of your application, we will fly three members of your Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team to Mission Viejo, California to shadow the staff at Mission Hospital’s ICU for three days. After your team has completed the onsite training, the Adam Williams Initiative will also provide the following aid for the implementation of the BTF/AANS protocols:

• Two brain tissue oxygenation monitors

• Two conscious sedation monitors

• One pupillometer

• Two-year membership with the Brain Trauma Foundation

• $20,000 to $30,000 of onsite TBI training provided by Mission Hospital’s TBI team or other designated training facilities consisting of a Neuro Clinical Nurse Specialist, ICU Manager, Trauma Program Manager and Neurosurgeon.
